For new hoopers, a general guide for picking a hula hoop diameter size is to measure from your feet to your belly button in inches to find the diameter. If you have a larger body type, you may want to add a few inches; if you have a smaller body type, you may want to go down a few inches. Remember that the smaller the hula hoop is in diameter, the faster the rotation will be. If you are a more advanced hooper or are looking for a hoop just for your extremities, then choose a smaller size. If you are a beginner, then a larger hula hoop will be more helpful.
